Overview
Community Medicine is branch of medicine deals with maintance, promotion, protection and improvement restore of health status of population groups and communities. The major emphasis in community medicine is on the early diagnosis of disease, the recognition of environmental and occupational hazards to good health, and the prevention of disease in thecommunity.
Vision:To be recognized as model department of community medicine as center for community health education and prevention of disease through excellence in medical education, research and health care.
Mission:To promote higher standards in medical education, health care, and research and community health services by way of utilizing innovative and modern methods to maintain higher standards in health care, Foster life-long & self-directed learning and leadership skills, Create conducive environment for meaningful research relevant to local and international objectives of health care
